Dear Diary,
Last weekend, I had one of my usual Saturday works. I played out shades of pink and purple. I wish I could say I drew inspiration from some work I had seen before. It was clearly one of those genius moments when ideas flow as I start working. Lets see how far that could take me.

That was my Saturday afternoon and there goes my before and after.

Taiwo's makeover: Pre-wedding shoot

Miss T is an ex-colleague turned friend, lol! It's her wedding on Saturday. She had me come over to help with her make-up for her pre-wedding photo shoot with her fiancé. Not only is she a black beauty, working with her was totally fun.

Her outfit was purple, pink and white. I didn't replicate those colours oh. I just worked round it :D

Rita's makeover

Hey diary,
Yes! I made Rita Dominic up for the future awards reception party sometime last month. I have been a little busy and that's why you just got to hear this.
The other interesting part of the shoot was her skin. Truthfully,  she is flawless like them bloggers say. I absolutely loved her glow. She was in such a haste that I couldn't exactly get the best pictures. However, here are a few.

Photo Shoot II: Glitters in Green

Dear Diary,
I'm pretty sure that my love for green is no longer news. But that is not exactly why I think this was my favourite look for the day. This was different, its certainly not the regular. I made use of glitters I almost termed useless. Against all odds, the work came out beautifully. Maybe you would have the exact words to
describe the look. Let me show you.

That is my tiny little greenish escapade.

Photo shoot II: Engagement

Dear Diary,
Here is another look from my photo session. Till date, I'm still trying to figure out why I decided to go all 'matchy' with eyes and head gear even if I think it did not turn out as bad. My favourite thing about this look is the chiselling of the nose. Somehow, her face remained obedient and receptive to every idea I had.

And because I was not exactly certain, I had a change of head gear to something smaller and different here.

Photo shoot II: Drama for Bibi

*clears throat
Hello Diary,
My much anticipated photo shoot part 2 is here. Its been mixed feelings all along.
For this look, I stood up to yet another makeup fear of mine- good Lord, the famous black lips.
But hey,  I didn't 'put all my eggs in one basket'. I was fast to do a change of lips to be on a safer side like a chicken. lol!

Smokey eyes with nude lips.

Lizzy's Makeover

 Hey Diary,
It was a very busy weekend, had so much to do. Like always, I am still very much grateful for every opportunity to work, to try out something new, to have one more client. It was Lizzy's sister's wedding. As the sister of the bride, I gave her this look for the engagement. Smoked out the eyes and left the lips soft, something close to her attire.

One portion of her face was already taken care of before I took pictures.

The picture session was actually more interesting than the job itself. She was ready for all the poses. lol! See more pictures below.

Shimmers, Colours, Play...

   New page,
   At home,
   Sunny Bright Saturday.
Hello Sugar,
Here is another look I made instead of roaming the neighbour hood tirelessly or chatting up with friends who would always be there. I thought you would be proud of me for spending my time on this. So, please tell me I did a good job.
I have had a small bottle of glitters for quite some time. It came with my face paint. I decided to use it in coating the gold eye shadow I used from my Zaron palette.

Nneoma's makeover: Coats of many Shades

Dear Diary,
Its another Saturday and like I spend most of my Saturdays, (no swimming classes) I did a few works which I found particularly interesting. I'm sure its no longer news that I enjoy working with lively clients that always have gist for me while working :D. Thank God for Nneoma, it was fun fun fun!
She wanted something dramatic and I was also very much ready to try out my newest buy- Mac's Lady danger here I worked around orange, with countless colours on the eyes.

My Second Photo shoot

Dear Diary,
I know I have been missing in action yet again. I really do not have any viable explanation. However, if you may have been thinking this is part of my little plan to not get addicted to you, I am afraid you thought wrong. I am pretty sure you do not want to get bored by my endless stories and petty excuses. On the flip side, mama is back and it is work as usual.
It is amazing how much I have grown and how close my first year is. I have been making so much preparations for my second photo shoot. The pictures are still being worked on but I thought it appropriate to prep your mind. Hence, I would show you a quick run down on my first photo shoot which was over a year ago and of course before my training, I showed you here already.

                                                               'coats of different shades'

                                                        'away in my own thoughts'
'my famous first set of brushes'

Inspire the Look II

Dear Diary,
Its another episode of Inspire the Look. In case you have been wondering if I forgot about this session, I certainly did not :). I saw another post on Stella's blog here that I like. I was quick to try it out earlier today. This look can very much pass as bridal. It was pretty easy to pull off and I hope I did a good job.

And with just a little 'goofiness', I ended my photo session.

Odun's Make-over

Dear diary,
It was an engagement but not Odun's. Do you remember Odun? The presenter from the Glam Squad shoot that wont let me take her pictures because she always had something to say. I got a call from her to do her makeup for a family member's engagement. As always, working with her was delightful and pleasant. Not only is she pretty, she reminds me of a very good friend and she chats along while I'm working.
She confessed to me that she would usually not let any make-up artist use colours on her face. She often prefers her make-up nude and there I was combining colours on her face. Lolz!

In recent times, I have not had any job that requires tying Gele. I was almost thinking I had lost touch but I thought wrong. Odun's Gele came off beautifully and most importantly, she liked it. See more pictures below.
Odun would not let me do her make-up without chiselling the nose of course!
